ACRYLIC LANDSCAPE PAINTING

At the begining of this project I started wth a completly different design. My first design was a beach scene at night but I realized  I wasnt going anyware with that so I changed it to this Alaskin moutain painting.
Atmoshperic perspective is the objects that appear closer than the objects in the backround. Like for me my trees apear to be right in front of you and my mountains apear alot further away. In my painting I use a complimentary color sceme. I created a light source in my painting. You can tell that the light is coming from the right side by looking at the tips of the mountains. To pull of this light source I used some yellow paint and added it to the white on the mountain tops. The process for this project was very stressful because I  had day late start  but in the end it payed off because the outcome was pretty great.

CERAMICS PROJECT

We used white clay to preform this project. The size of my project is the size of an average cereal bowl.
I wanted my bowl to look like the sun by adding the jagged edges. I used the hump technique to create my project. my project served as a cereal bowl. I learned that clay is very hard to work with. If i was able to go back and change what i did i would make my design more simple.

PASTEL STILL LIFE PROJECT

I always brought juice boxes to class so when Mrs.Brokke said to bring in something to draw I thought well I always have these and it should be easy to draw so I went with it. A thumbnail sketch is a drawing to sum up your main drawing. The thumbnail sketch helped me with my official drawing because it showed me the objects that I would be drawing. I made my objects look three dementional by useing a light source and adding shadows and shadeing.I created a light source by makeing some objects have brighter colors on there left side.
